Handmade Artists Watercolour Pad / Harbourside
Artists Watercolour Pad Entirely Handmade from my own unique design, hand bound in a wonderful fabric depicting a busy harbourside scene.
This square art journal opens landscape style & contains hand cut & glue bound watercolour sheets.
There are three paper types to choose from - all are professional artists quality by Daler Rowney -
~ Mixed Media - suitable for pen & ink, acrylic, pastel, watercolour & charcoal. 250gsm/169lb. Acid free. Lightly textured.
~ Watercolour Aquafine - cold pressed (textured) acid free & 100% cellulose. 300gsm/140lb.
~ Watercolour Aquafine - hot pressed (smooth) acid free & 100% cellulose. 300gsm/140lb.
The sheets are individually cut to just under 6” square - please allow for the charm of hand cut pages :) & glue bound - using traditional book binding methods, to enable easy removal.
If you have a different preference for your artists paper - please do let me know & I’ll be happy to source it for you....
Replacement pads can also be provided. Please be aware that this is a ‘paint & peel’ design - the pages are glued in such a way that once painted on, they can easily be removed.
If you prefer more of a journal type of sketchbook (with casebound pages) please visit my A6 and A5 notebook sections, where the sketchbook option is available within each listing.
These pads are designed to open out totally flat, to assist with your painting - especially useful if you’re left handed.
Individually cut from sturdy picture framing mount board, each is carefully scored to create a hardback book, lightly padded - for extra luxury - & then hand covered in a luxurious fabric design & secured with a coordinating ribbon tie.
The inside spine is strengthened with linen tape & the remainder of the inside is covered with superior quality mounting barrier board - this all helps to ensure the functionality & durability of your watercolour pad.
Please note that this particular fabric design is extremely varied - the above pictures show the front and back of 2 different books. Designs will be chosen and cut at my discretion, unless otherwise specified.
